The bad taste in the mouth left by the defeat against Nottingham Forest is looking to be reversed by Jurgen Klopp not in the English competition but in the UEFA Champions League on the fifth matchday against Ajax, with the Reds boss now having enough weapons to be able to face any opponent and return to winning ways, and what better than getting his first achievement of the season which is to get the pass to the round of 16 of the competition.

The German coach of the Reds may have a great deck of possibilities in Amsterdam to get the win and consolidate their passage to the next round of Champions League, because compared to the sudden changes that Klopp had to make against the Tricky Trees, Liverpool now have more variants with the players who are reinstated, as Darwin Núñez, Thiago Alcántara and Ibrahima Konaté will surely see activity against Ajax.

Jürgen Klopp criticised for wasting Liverpool's Casemiro

All three Reds stars missed Saturday's disappointing Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest, but could now be fully fit and available for the trip to the Netherlands. The most consistent player of these three additions is Uruguayan attacker Nunez, who in his most recent games has been scoring important goals for the Merseyside outfit.

Although Klopp's recent statements suggested that Darwin was still a young player full of inconsistencies, the Reds boss himself knows that he needs that attacking variant that can open up or settle what is perhaps his most important game of the season.   It is worth noting that once Alcántara's return from injury was marked, the Spanish international midfielder was able to give an incredible display of his qualities precisely against Ajax.

Klopp brings back several injured players

Ajax currently pose a more serious threat compared to Steve Cooper's side, with Klopp knowing in advance that he won't have to waste time with new strategies or new formations when he has three of his first-choice players back. Ibrahima Konate may be the only doubt to return to the field immediately, as his time away from the field may have affected his competitive rhythm.
