The Reds have enjoyed a stellar campaign so far, sitting nine points clear at the top of the table following a 2-0 win over Bournemouth

Coupled with a solid defensive record and an attacking unit that is firing on all cylinders. However, with three months of the campaign remaining and a tough run of games ahead, Alisson knows the title battle is far from over.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Alisson said: "It's a great result we've achieved here away from home. We've shown great desire, mentality and quality to finish off the situations we've created. Bournemouth are really intense."

"If you look at the data, they are at the top of the table in terms of running, intensity, the way they play, they are aggressive. You have to be focused and very sharp in every situation.

In marking, they never let a player turn or receive the ball freely, so you have to be focused, very sharp in every situation when you have the ball, try to create, move a lot, so this intensity requires a lot of energy to win these kinds of games."

The 32-year-old added: "But to be honest, the Premier League is at a high level this season, all the teams are giving the top six in the league problems.

In every game we play from now on, they will show real desire, they will want to take points from the bigger clubs, and we have to continue forward with this spirit."

“Game by game, step by step, thinking about the next challenge we have and we will see where we end up in the season.”

Liverpool recorded their tenth clean sheet of the season, with Alisson making superb saves to deny a Bournemouth side who had scored nine times in their previous two Premier League outings.
