Liverpool were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16 after losing 4-1 on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. The English team had won 1-0 in France in the first leg, but lost the second leg by the same score at home and then were ineffective from the penalty spot.

Darwin Núñez was tasked with taking Liverpool's second penalty after teammate Mohamed Salah and Vitinha and Gonçalo Ramos converted for PSG, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma blocked his shot, which was well aimed at the post.

The first to greet him after the decision was captain Virgil van Dijk, who later supported him in the post-match press conference, and his other teammates also approached him to offer encouragement.

As the hours passed, and with the waters calmer in England, the Uruguayan national team forward expressed himself on social media. "Get up and keep going, as always," the Peñarol graduate wrote, accompanied by photos from the match.

The comments on the post were filled with Liverpool fans encouraging him to stay focused on winning the Premier League, while some Uruguayans also expressed their support.
