Liverpool manager Arne Slot has urged his side to keep their feet on the ground despite their commanding 3-1 victory over Leicester City. With the win, the Reds have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
When asked if he felt his team was now in a strong position to win the title, Slot remained cautious. "It's too early to say," he said. "We've played 18 games, and there's still a long way to go. We're taking it one game at a time. Our focus is on the next match, not on the final destination."
The Dutchman emphasized the importance of maintaining the team's intensity and focus. "We have a very demanding schedule, and it's crucial that we recover well and prepare for the next challenge," Slot added. "We can't afford to get ahead of ourselves."
Liverpool's performance against Leicester was impressive, with goals from Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah. The victory has further strengthened the belief among fans that the Reds are on course for a historic title win.
