Liverpool Injury Update: Gomez, Jota and Nunez in Doubt for Bournemouth Clash

Liverpool are yet to make a decision on the availability of Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez for Saturday's Premier League game against AFC Bournemouth.

The three players are at different stages of recovery:

Joe Gomez: Has missed Liverpool's last eight games with a hamstring injury.

Diogo Jota: Has not played since scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest in mid-January.

Darwin Nunez: Was ruled out of Wednesday's defeat to PSV Eindhoven due to illness.

On Friday morning, Liverpool manager Arne Slot was asked about the trio's status and their potential involvement in Saturday's game at the Vitality Stadium.

Slot told the media:

"All three are training today, so the question is: 'Are they far enough along to join us in Bournemouth?' That's something we'll have to wait and see today, because we'll probably have more than 20 players available as well. We always have more than 20 available, except the ones who are mostly injured. So, we have to make the smartest decision for them, but also to win the game tomorrow."

In short, the decision on Gomez, Jota and Nunez's participation in the game against Bournemouth will be made on the day of the game, depending on their progress during Friday's training session and the manager's strategy.
