Liverpool are said to be in the market for a new left-back, with Robertson linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. Liverpool manager Arne Slot has reportedly identified Alphonso Davies, star from Bayern Munich as his top target for the position.
The Canadian international has been one of the most exciting young players in European football since his breakthrough at Bayern Munich. His pace, skill, and attacking prowess have made him a coveted asset for many of Europe's top clubs.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has backed the club's interest in Davies, insisting that the Reds need to strengthen their left-back position. Carragher believes that Davies would be an excellent fit for Liverpool's style of play and could provide the team with a fresh impetus.
"Liverpool need a left-back," Carragher said. "Davies is a fantastic player and would be a great addition to the squad. He's got pace, he's got skill, and he's got a great attitude."
While Davies is a highly sought-after player, a deal for the Canadian would not be easy to complete. Bayern Munich are unlikely to want to sell one of their star players, and the player himself may be hesitant to leave the Bundesliga giants.
However, with Robertson's future at Anfield uncertain, Liverpool are determined to secure a long-term replacement. Davies would certainly be a statement signing for the Reds and would show their ambition to remain one of the top clubs in Europe.
