Luis Díaz's recent form at Liverpool has sparked speculation that he could continue at the English club. According to British outlet Anfield Watch , the Colombian winger could become a target for the Saudi Arabian league, a destination that has caught the attention of several international football figures.

Although Diaz is under contract with Liverpool until 2027, the possibility of a compelling offer could open the door to his departure, in a context where other key players in the team, such as Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, have also been linked with possible transfers.

According to Anfield Watch , Díaz's performance has come under scrutiny following Liverpool's FA Cup exit. Despite being the team's third-highest offensive contributor this season, with 12 goals and 2 assists, the Colombian has gone over a month without scoring. This drought has coincided with a change in his usual position, as manager Arne Slot has opted to use him as a centre forward, a role that is not natural for him and involves greater physical strain. Slot, however, has publicly defended the player, highlighting his ability to adapt to this new role in the team's tactical scheme

The British media also noted that, in addition to the interest from Saudi Arabia, other European clubs have shown interest in Liverpool players.

“Anfield Watch has learned that Slot has become frustrated with the Colombian as the season has progressed. The No.7 started the campaign brightly with five goals in his first five games, but has since managed just three Premier League goals in his last 17 appearances. Despite all his good work, his form is lacking. He is not considered a reliable player,” the portal revealed.

In the case of Darwin Núñez, AC Milan has been mentioned as a possible destination. Meanwhile, rumours linking Luis Díaz to FC Barcelona have lost momentum, as the Catalan club seems to have focused its attention on Portuguese Rafael Leão as a priority in the transfer market. So far, no concrete details have been revealed about a possible formal offer for Díaz from Saudi Arabia or other teams.

Since joining Liverpool, the Colombian has made 131 appearances, starting 99 of them. During this time, he has scored 36 goals and registered 14 assists, establishing himself as an important part of the team's attack. However, the fine form of Cody Gakpo, another of Liverpool's attackers, has added pressure on Díaz, who has seen his scoring presence reduced in recent weeks.

Amidst all this speculation, Liverpool are preparing to face Everton this Wednesday at Goodison Park, in a match corresponding to a postponed date of the English league. This match will be crucial for the Anfield team, which has historically achieved 99 victories against its classic rival in all competitions, in addition to 77 draws and 68 defeats. This match could be an opportunity for Luis Díaz to recover his best form and clear up the doubts about his performance.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday 12 February at 2.30pm. The victory will ensure that they remain at the top of the table, which they already have with 56 points in 23 games played, above Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
