Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Newcastle United, adding to the existing pursuit from Leeds United.
The Irish international has impressed whenever called upon for the Reds, and his consistent performances have caught the eye of several top-flight clubs. With Liverpool already securing Giorgi Mamardashvili as Alisson Becker's understudy for the upcoming season, Kelleher could be deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield.
Leeds United have been long-term admirers of Kelleher and are keen to bolster their goalkeeping options. However, the emergence of Newcastle as a potential suitor will intensify the competition for the 25-year-old's signature.
Newcastle, under the ownership of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, have been ambitious in the transfer market and are looking to build a squad capable of challenging for European places. Kelleher fits the profile of player they are seeking, offering both experience and potential.
Liverpool, meanwhile, will be keen to recoup a significant fee for Kelleher, given his talent and the interest from other clubs. The Reds are well-stocked in the goalkeeping department with Alisson and Mamardashvili, and a sale could help fund moves for other positions in the squad.
