Jürgen Klopp has done a great job this season, where despite suffering so much for the multiple injuries of the players, this would not be the only setback that Liverpool would have during this first half of the tournament, as the refereeing seems to be against the Reds. The refereeing seems to be against the Reds, as there have been quite a few mistakes made by the referees against Liverpool.

Anfield are looking for Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni, who currently plays for Inter Milan where he has played a total of 19 games this season. Bastoni is 24 years old and has developed his entire career in the Italian Serie A league, where his first team was Atalanta and then moved to Inter Milan where he was already multi champion.

Bastoni plays as a central defender on the left side, having as his main virtue the aerial game and a great vision, he is also a player who knows how to join the attack giving great passes and crosses into the area. The Italian is worth €60 million, so the Reds will have to pay a large amount of money to sign him.

So this signing could happen after the Reds' first game in 2024, when the Reds host Newcastle, so if the Reds win they would be maintaining their lead and reaffirming this with the signing of Italian defesnor to be an even more secure team at the bottom. It would be a stroke of authority to maintain their lead.

Bastoni and his possible arrival at Anfield

Although Liverpool currently has a great defense, and the young Jarrell Quansah is playing better and better, Bastoni's arrival would be to replace Joel Matip, who could not consolidate his position on Merseyside as expected due to constant injuries. Bastoni would be an excellent addition to the team, giving more consistency to the defense.
