Liverpool manager Arne Slot lamented the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa and referred to the clear chance that Darwin Núñez was unable to convert in the second half that could have given them the win.

"Of the two teams that played in the game, we created the best chances and we deserved to win," the Dutch coach began by saying in an interview with TNT Sports, pointing out the lack of effectiveness in some of the matches.

With the score at 2-2 in the 68th minute, a counterattack led by Domink Szoboszlai ended with a lateral pass to goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who was coming out to take Darwin Núñez's position.

Alone and with the goal at his disposal, the left-footed shot from the player from Artigas went high and wide, which caused his coach, Arne Slot, to hold his head.

He did not hesitate to refer to this action in the interview and stated: “If we look at the chances we had in the second half, there is a player in the dressing room who feels quite down and sad. You know who it is.”

Once the match was over, Núñez took off his shirt and went straight to the locker room while his teammates greeted the fans who had gone to the other team's field.
