The CIES Football Observatory published a forecast of how the leagues of Europe will be at the end of the 2022-2023 season, in a study that was elaborated from different statistical items.
The media outlet explains: "The predictions were based on a statistical model that includes the performance of teams over the previous two seasons, the experience of current players and the clubs' transfer market spending".
According to the CIES, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will once again be champions of English football, while Luis Diaz's Liverpool, who had a poor start to the season, will finish in second place.
Dávinson Sánchez's Tottenham would qualify for the Champions League by finishing fourth. Steven Alzate's Brighton would finish 11th, followed by Wolverhampton (Yerson Mosquera), Leeds United (Luis Sinisterra) and Everton (Yerry Mina).
The bad news would be for Jefferson Lerma as his Bournemouth, according to the forecast, would be relegated back to the second division by finishing 18th.
