Liverpool is planning a summer full of moves to reinforce the squad, after the failure of the 2022-2023 season in which they missed the target of qualifying for the Champions League. In that sense, the top priority of the Reds board was to sign Alexis Mac Allister and everything seems to indicate that it is a matter of time for his arrival to be made official, but now Liverpool has set its eyes on another €30 million player.

For Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool is in need of a renewal in midfield and that is why most of the rumors for the next transfer window are for players who play in that position and are young players.

The Anfield board and the German tactician agree that Liverpool must sign at least two or three other midfielders who can join Mac Allister to return Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and thus return to the Champions League as soon as possible.

That is why Klopp's new priority is Gabri Veiga, a 21-year-old Spanish midfielder who plays for Celta Vigo in La Liga. Veiga is one of the great promises of Spanish football, because at his young age he is already of interest to many teams in Europe as he is a dynamic player, with good ball striking and very versatile in midfield. In addition, his value of 30 million euros, according to the Transfermarkt portal, would be an affordable price for a Liverpool that is shaping up to make many more moves.

Klopp's wish list

In addition to Alexis Mac Allister and Gabri Veiga, Jürgen Klopp has a list of players he considers a priority to arrive at Anfield for next season. Among them, three French players stand out: Képhren Thuram, Randal Kolo Muani and Manu Koné. It will not be easy to get them all, but Klopp is confident of landing at least one of them this summer.
