Jordan Henderson's departure from Liverpool brought many changes after he moved to Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia where he will become one of the highest paid players in the world behind only the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, earning around 20 million a year.
At Anfield, this surprise departure meant that a new captain had to be defined by manager Jurgen Klopp and it was only this Monday that it was revealed, as 32-year-old defender Virgil Van Dijk is the new leader of the team, becoming the first foreigner to wear the armband since Sami Hyppia more than two decades ago.
As vice-captain is Trent Alexander Arnold who is identified as a true scouser and is expected to shine next season in a different role, as he could play as a midfielder where he has shone with Liverpool and also with the England national team.
Although it has not been publicly revealed, several sources suggest that Scotland's Andy Robertson has been chosen as the third captain for next season, due to his leadership and closeness to his teammates. The fourth place will go to Alisson and up to the fifth step Mohamed Salah would be chosen.
