Doak joined Liverpool as a winger in March after leaving Celtic, with the Reds paying the Scottish powerhouse a training compensation of over £600,000, the 17-year-old, who was born in Dalry, Scotland, on November 11, 2005, started his youth career with Dalry Rovers before moving on to Ayr United and then Celtic.

Martin Doak, his grandfather, was a football player as well, Doak has played for Scotland at the U16 and U17 levels of international competition, scoring four goals in six games for the latter. Doak made his U21 debut earlier this year and became the team's youngest goalscorer when he scored against Northern Ireland in September.

Doak made his SPL debut the following month against Dundee United at age 16 when he was picked to his first Celtic matchday squad for the Boxing Day victory over St. Johnstone in 2021. For the Bhoys, he made two senior appearances, Doak has made two senior appearances since joining Liverpool in March, both of which occurred this season. 

<strong>The 17-year-old has contributed to 15 goals and six assists</strong>

He made his Carabao Cup debut off the bench against Derby County in November. On December 26, he made his Premier League debut in a similar role against Aston Villa, the 17-year-old has contributed to 15 goals and six assists for Liverpool's youth teams thus far in the 2022–23 season, this includes four goals and four assists while the Reds led their group with five victories from six games in the UEFA Youth League.
