It is no secret that Jürgen Klopp considers Trent Alexander-Arnold one of the most important players of the team, as in previous years he has been one of the fundamental pillars for the success of the club, but he is also a young player who can be one of the leaders of the new project.
That is why, when things did not seem to be working in Klopp's scheme during the last season, the German tactician decided to change Alexander-Arnold's position and place him as a midfielder, in order to give him more offensive freedom without having to worry about defending. This decision may have been the key to Trent's resurgence this season, as he seems to have settled perfectly into his new role.
His good performances in the closing stages of the Premier League campaign earned him a place in the England squad, where he was already one of the frequent names, but did not have the regularity he enjoyed at Liverpool.
But the change of position seems not only to have convinced Klopp, but also England coach Gareth Southgate who, during the two matches this summer, used Trent Alexander-Arnold in his new midfield role, where the young player was one of the best for the English team. After these good performances, Alexander-Arnold's market value has increased.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been one of Liverpool's best players for several years, which has led him to be worth up to €110 million according to the Transfermarkt portal, who valued it at that price in 2019. Now, after a couple of seasons that were not so good, Trent seems to be resuming his value and is currently valued at 65 million.
