Andy Cole, who lived through one of Manchester United's greatest eras, gave his hypothesis as to why the club has been in crisis for several seasons. The Red Devils legend says he is sure that there is a whistleblower in the dressing room who is preventing the team from returning to the top of the table and fighting for the Premier League title.

There is definitely a snitch, nothing comes out of a good dressing room, regardless of what's going on," Cole said in an interview with The Sun. "Players fall out, the manager and players fall out and these are things you'd expect to happen in football, but if you're in a good dressing room, no one knows what's going on.

In recent weeks a number of stories have emerged regarding the tensions and atmosphere between players in the squad and between players and Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag. "In Manchester United now, information leaks out very regularly and if the dressing room was really united, then that wouldn't be the case," the Old Trafford legend finished.

The culprit

The English side were recently eliminated from the UEFA Champions League after a dismal performance in which they finished bottom of the group with four points after one win, one draw and four defeats. Without the possibility of continuing to participate in European competitions. Undoubtedly an offence for a historic Premier League club.
