Liverpool will face Ajax of the Netherlands, Rangers of Scotland and Napoli of Italy in Group A of the Champions League group stage, following tonight's draw in Turkey. The Reds won't have it easy, but at least they won't be in a group considered to be a group of death.
The Atatürk Olympic Stadium will bring back good memories for Liverpool, who were crowned champions there in 2005. And less good for AC Milan, champions of Italy 2022, who led 3-0 to the Reds at half-time in that memorable final before being held to a 3-3 draw and losing on penalties.
In Group of Death (C) are Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Inter Milan, while Manchester City face Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund and Copenhagen. In group H it is notable that PSG will face Juventus and Benfica.
This is how all the groups were drawn:
A: Ajax - Liverpool - Napoli - Rangers
B: Porto - Atlético Madrid - Leverkusen - Brugge
C: Bayern Munich - Barcelona - Inter - Viktoria Plzeň
D: Eintracht Frankfurt - Tottenham - Sporting Lisbon - Marseille
E: Milan - Chelsea - Salzburg - Dinamo
F: Real Madrid - Leipzig - Shakthar - Celtic
G: Manchester City - Sevilla - Borussia Dortmund - Copenhagen
H: PSG - Juventus - Benfica - Maccabi Haifa
