Liverpool were beaten at Old Trafford with goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, while Mohamed Salah scored the injury-time winner.  Jurgen Klopp's side are winless in their first three games of the 2022-23 season and face AFC Bournemouth at Anfield this weekend.

"It's really difficult to come here and talk about a defeat," Alisson said after the game. "We think we played in some moments of the game better than them. But in a game you have to do everything you can to win and improve your performance; we couldn't do that."

"We all agree that we have to improve our performance. We have to be more consistent, we have to get back to clean sheets and we have to play better on the ball, making better decisions, that's what we all agree on. This is what we are going to go after for the next game".

Change of attitude

According to the goalkeeper, the team must look to turn the results around, with attitude, without making the mistakes that punish the team and leave them down on the scoreboard. "Teams, when they play against us, they know our way of playing and they try to take advantage of it and use it against us. [It's something that most of the time works for us, but sometimes we get punished for it and tonight that's what happened," he added.

"Sometimes we have to be more perfect in a game. It's hard to do, but as a team being together we can do it and we can get better. We just have to keep working hard on our game throughout and defend with the ball," he explained.
