The 2022-2023 season was a disappointment for Liverpool, who in previous years managed to dominate Europe by winning every possible trophy, but now will not play the next Champions League campaign, so Jürgen Klopp would have decided to make modifications in every sector of the field, including the goal, a position in which the Reds have one of the best in the world in Brazilian Alisson.

The 30-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper has established himself as one of the club's legends, being a fundamental part of Klopp's project during the club's last golden era, however, like the rest of his teammates, he was responsible for the failure of the season, in which Liverpool finished in fifth place in the Premier League, a competition in which they conceded a total of 47 goals in 38 games.

While the Liverpool board's priority is to reinforce the midfield with the arrival of young players such as World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister, Klopp and his coaching staff are not ruling out making signings in other areas of the pitch, given that several players left the team after the end of the season, such as Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita and James Milner, so it should come as no surprise if the Reds land another type of player this summer.

What is a fact is that the Reds need to restructure if they want to return to the elite of European football, as well as compete with the hegemony that Manchester City has imposed on the English league, and that means reinforcing all positions of the team to have the strongest squad possible.

Who will compete with Alisson?

In order to maintain the team's internal competition, Jürgen Klopp and the board have decided to renew Adrian, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 36-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has proven to be the ideal partner for Alisson and can protect Liverpool's goal to give the Brazilian a rest.
