For several weeks now Sofyan Amrabat, 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder, has been strongly linked with a possible exit from his current team Fiorentina. It is no secret that Amrabat is keen to leave and it has been reported that his preferred destination would be the Premier League, where both Liverpool and Manchester United have shown interest in him.
The Reds have already been very close to signing him, as according to Fabrizio Romano the Anfield management had talks with Fiorentina, which were going well, but finally the Merseyside side opted for Wataru Endo, leaving aside the possibility of signing Amrabat.
For their part, the Red Devils would also be extremely interested in him, but in his case the non-exit of Harry Maguire could complicate the economic possibilities of signing him, so that currently the interest of both teams would have decreased and that would have affected the transfer price that Fiorentina would be asking for one of the great stars of the last World Cup in Qatar 2022.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina would be willing to accept around £21 million, well below what they would have initially asked for him, which could again arouse the interest of our Liverpool, especially taking into account that it seems that the other midfielder targets that the Reds have look increasingly complicated.
Sofyan Amrabat's days at Fiorentina seem to be numbered, as it seems that the club no longer wants him in their ranks. Currently, the Moroccan midfielder is not training with the first team but is doing so separately on his own, waiting for his immediate future to be resolved.
