In a video that went viral on social media, you can count at least eight occasions in which Joachim Andersen, Crystal Palace defender, and Darwin Nunez, Liverpool striker, come face to face with shoves, words and clashes between them, prior to the expulsion of the Uruguayan in the 1-1 draw at Anfield of both teams, within the day 2 of the Premier League.

On several of those occasions Andersen is seen provoking Nunez, touching or pushing him, although on a couple of those Nunez also responds lightly and even asks him to stop after a collision that left the Crystal Palace man on the ground. The incident did not go unnoticed by ESPN, who made a video compilation of the incidents.

After the match, a day after the match and the incidents that led to the sending off, Nunez, through his official Twitter account, apologised to the fans and assured that he had an ugly attitude, but he will learn from his mistakes and promised that it will not happen again: "I am aware of the ugly attitude I had. I'm here to learn from my mistakes and it won't happen again," he said.

The sending off

Nunez was trying to get Liverpool's equaliser against Crystal Palace at Anfield, but he let himself be provoked by his opponent and made it difficult for his team, who were reduced to 10 men. In the 57′ minute, during a dangerous play, Joachim Andersen started to bother the Uruguayan player and pushed him. The recent signing of the squad led by Jurgen Kloop headbutted him.

The Aguilas player fell to the turf and the referee saw the action, who gave Nunez a red card, although the sending off was no excuse, as after four minutes, Liverpool found parity thanks to Luis Diaz's goal.
