Jurgen Klopp has had a clear formula since the took over Liverpool in 2015: lookup for key players in unknown places. They may be part of the starting line-up every week, but Robertson (now injured), Joel Matip, and even Mohamed Salah were basically unknown players when they arrived at Anfield. But everyone believed the German coach could polish them and make them part of an elite team.
So he did. After more than 25 years, his Liverpool generation won the Premier League over Manchester City after years of just coming on short a couple of seasons. Even more impressive, Klopp's team got a Champions League in an all-England-club duel against Tottenham. After being crowned Europe champions, they went on to win the Club World Cup proving to the whole planet which team was the best.

What happened to Gerrard's cousin? He listened to his agent and now he plays in the 3rd Division
So we shouldn't be surprised Jurgen Klopp is already looking for new pieces for his team. And of course, these rumors seem more important because of the Qatar World Cup. During this period many players, even if they are not representing their nations, have the chance to talk with different clubs and see if they can make a transfer move.
Tottenham failed to win against Sporting Lisboa on the second leg of the Champions League. And as the most Tottenham thing to do, they failed miserably to win against the Portuguese side, but what stood out was ex-Spurs player Marcus Edwards. He had an almost perfect game that made all the English players crazy when trying to mark him. After the game he said to the press he wanted a Premier League return and of course, Klopp has already his eye on him. Maybe he can be a Red next January.
