Recalling his great days at Anfield over many years, Steven Gerrard was back in a Liverpool shirt on Saturday in the legends match against Celtic where he scored a first-half penalty and his celebration was a striking one as he ran straight at the Scottish fans to taunt them with a reminder of one of his most iconic celebrations, the one he made against Manchester United by kissing the television camera.

At the age of 42 Steven Gerrard is currently unemployed as a manager but his debut in the dugout was with Glasgow Rangers, Celtic's arch rivals, so the Celtic fans were pestering him for much of the game and Gerard took his revenge in the goal celebration which caused the Scots to even try to attack him by throwing objects on to the pitch.

It is not the first time that Steven Gerrard has celebrated a goal so wildly because it brings to mind what he did against Manchester United by kissing the lens of a television camera. He first did it in 2009 in the Premier League, and in 2014 he repeated the feat after scoring from the penalty spot in Liverpool's 3-0 win at Old Trafford in the same competition.

Gerrard's best celebrations

Before the 2014 game, Gerrard said he could celebrate like that again if he scored against the Red Devils in an interview for the club's official website. For that reason, the match announcement poster featured an image of the Liverpool captain kissing the video camera.
