The news keeps coming in around the summer transfer market for our Liverpool, although lately it has not been the news we would like to hear, because so far the Anfield board has not been able to finalize the arrival of a third reinforcement and have been several weeks in the search to do so, but so far we only have Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai as the only signings.
In recent days we lived two sagas that have left our club in a very bad position to face the rest of the transfer market, because after the Reds board offered a record transfer fee for Moises Caicedo, and exceeded the £50 million asked by Southampton for Lavia, both players decided to opt to join Chelsea, which caused not only that the club was left without two targets that were a priority for Jürgen Klopp, but also leave Liverpool in a bad position to negotiate for other candidates.
After the Caicedo-Lavia fiasco, Jürgen Klopp and the team's board have already set to work to find other candidates to reinforce the team's midfield and in that sense several names have emerged that could arrive at Anfield this summer, although it is already expected that Liverpool will have to pay large amounts of money if they intend to meet the requests of the German tactician, as everyone now knows that Liverpool has money and need to sign, a dangerous combination.
In addition to this, the Reds will have to overcome other teams that also have the same players on their radar, as seems to be the case of FC Bayern who are reported to have initiated contacts to agree a contract on personal terms with a player that Jürgen Klopp has in his sights and for whom both clubs would be willing to pay the termination clause of 37 million euros.
We are talking about Ibrahim Sangaré, a 25-year-old Ivorian midfielder who plays for PSV and is reportedly of interest to Klopp. According to journalist Santi Aouna, Bayern have already initiated contacts with the player to agree personal terms, as they intend to secure his contract before paying the €37 million termination clause.
