Bellingham, 19, is one of Dortmund's star players and Real Madrid and Liverpool are interested in signing him next year, 2023. Both sides are making moves to convince the player and want to take up a preferential option for next summer as Dortmund are not going to let him leave in the summer transfer window.

In this 'war' between Liverpool and Real Madrid, the English team has found an ally. Former Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish told Football Insider that "when you're that age, you want to play for someone in the Premier League, why not Liverpool.

He didn't stop there and added that "a couple of years ago, Liverpool won the Champions League and recently they've won the Premier League. They are flying every season, they are a team to be reckoned with. Why not Liverpool? They might be wanted by Real Madrid, but is it the name that gets you more than the way you can settle into a club?" said Alex McLeish.
