We reached the first break of the 2023-2024 season due to the international break in which some Liverpool players were called up with their respective national teams. However, there are players who due to injury will not be able to play in the September games, and could use those 13 days in which Liverpool will not have activity to recover.

Such is the case of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who during the match against Aston Villa, in which he started as captain of the team due to Virgil van Dijk's suspension. Liverpool's star right back suffered a hamstring injury, according to Jürgen Klopp in the post-match conference, although they still do not know how serious it is, but it will be enough for him not to travel with the England national team.

However, it seems that Trent Alexander-Arnold will not be the only player who will miss international action during the break, as the France national team announced that they will replace Ibrahima Konaté in the squad for the matches against Republic of Ireland and Germany, due to "insufficiently recovered" from a hamstring injury to his left thigh, is therefore unable to link up with his fellow internationals.

When will Konaté be able to play again?

His injury was not initially expected to be so serious, as Jürgen Klopp described him as "doubtful" for last week's game against Newcastle so many thought he might play against Aston Villa, which was not the case. Now, his absence from the French national team raises many doubts about the seriousness of his injury as it is still uncertain when he will be able to play again.
