Liverpool arrived at Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, this past sunday afternoon, ahead of the first preseason match against eternal rivals, Manchester United at Rajamangala Stadium, a venue that has capacity for 51.552 people.
Liverpool is back in Asia since the 2017 tour, back then when they played the Premier League Asia Trophy against Crystal Palace and Leicester City. The excitement of the fans over that continent was huge and they showed that emotion to the team by receiving them in the airport.
The CEO talked to Liverpoolfc.com about being on tour and said this: “These are an incredible experience as a part of the club and I think a great reminder of how popular the club is on a global basis. (…) First off, important for the club because it's an opportunity for us to really bring the club to our supporters. As we know, most of our global fans probably never have the opportunity to come to Anfield, never have the opportunity to see the team play in the UK.”
