It was a goal-fest when Brighton Hove Albion visited Anfield this weekend. A three-goal draw left bittersweet feelings for both sides, as the Seagulls were on top but could only manage a single point. Liverpool FC, meanwhile, drew yet another Premier League game, taking their Premier League tally to four draws for the campaign.
After the stoppage due to the FIFA World Cup in September, in England as in the rest of the European leagues, activities resumed this weekend, with the 9th Premier League matchday being the continuation of the championship that has many surprises at the start, such as Brighton Hove Albion, a club that is currently in Champions League places, being fourth place overall.

Both clubs, both with significant absentees, took to the Anfield pitch in search of victory, quickly finding the assist for Leandro Trossard in the boots of Danny Welbeck, for his first goal of the match, in the 4th minute. To the surprise of both home and away fans, it was Trossard himself who scored again, this time off a pass from Solomon March in the 17th minute. The visitors won it and the stadium was in disbelief.
The Belgian's goals were enough for him to go down in Red's history, as he became the first visiting player to score a first-half brace in the Premier League since 2008, when Wigan AFC's Amr Zaki scored twice before half-time. Trossard then scored again to end the afternoon with a hat-trick.
Leandro Trossard is a midfielder who started his career in 2010 and has five club appearances to his name so far. His best season came in the 2014-2015 season when he scored 16 times for Belgian League side Lommel SK. His fresh performance against Liverpool FC could earn him a ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
