The transfer market is getting closer and closer, and Liverpool will be one of the most active European teams during the summer transfer window as they are trying to carry out an internal restructuring of the squad that will allow them to return to the top of the Premier League. To do so, they have young players in their sights and one of Jürgen Klopp's targets would be Ecuadorian Moisés Caicedo.

Caicedo would fit perfectly into Liverpool's plans for the medium and long term project, because besides being a young player (he is only 21 years old) he already has experience in the English league and is one of the most exciting South American promises of today.

In addition, Caicedo plays as a defensive midfielder, a position that has been rumored to be key for the new project of the German tactician, since Fabinho, who is the starting player, is already close to 30 years of age and the Reds' board would be looking for his heir. However, the team also has other players in its sights, so the transfer price will play a decisive role in the decision to try to sign him.

While it is true that Liverpool are close to snatching Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion, the Brighton side do not want the Reds to leave them without quality players so they would not be very interested in letting the Ecuadorian gem leave for a low price, but would try to get the most economic benefit for him.

Brighton's asking price for Caicedo

Brighton & Hove Albion would not be willing to sell Moisés Caicedo for less than 55 million euros, the value that the Transfermarkt portal has estimated for the 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder. Despite the fact that Jürgen Klopp has monitored Caicedo since January, he is not the top priority for him, so his high price could slow down his arrival at Anfield.
