Once the summer transfer window has given Liverpool all the signings they need to improve significantly on last season, manager Jurgen Klopp will have a tough task in pre-season to make a new scheme work, especially in midfield, an area that is already the talk of the town as it is believed that the new signings may cause the older players to be forgotten.

As much as players like Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson have had spectacular moments in a season to forget, this pair of elements play with the issue of age against them, and the youth and vast experience of possible reinforcements such as Alexis Mac Allister will obviously decrease the playing time of the veterans, foreseeing this situation through social networks on the sports page givemesport.

According to the Anfield Watch twitter account, it is believed that Hendo will not leave the club but neither will he have one of the most important roles in the scheme of things that Jurgen Klopp is already working on, with the understanding that the man will fulfil a similar role to James Milner until his contract with Anfield expires. I think he will stay at the club, but I think it will be a very difficult season for him in the sense that he will no longer be one of the first names on the team sheet as he has been used to for so long."

Hendo will still have a long way to go at Liverpool

If the loss of the starting role as well as the captain's badge fails to affect the British midfielder, the theory that Hendo is the new James Milner may well be fulfilled, with Jordan still under contract with the club until June 2025, when his relationship is likely to end and his departure imminent, leaving to the applause of the crowd and new positional colleagues to forge his legendary status as he is regarded today.
