After it was revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be playing for Al-Nassr next year, Liverpool's chances of signing him for the winter transfer window have been revived, with the Reds having a proposal ready to offer the Portuguese once his participation in the Qatar 2022 World Cup is over, with the English side hoping to convince the striker with an offer that would keep him in the Premier League.
The Merseyside team can currently offer Ronaldo the opportunity to continue in one of the most important leagues in Europe, the Premier League, as well as the opportunity to participate in major competitions such as the UEFA Champions League. The only major drawback is that Jurgen Klopp will surely not be able to offer the Portuguese the chance to start every game.
Bellingham has already said no to City, here's what he's asking Liverpool for in January
Mbappé's Liverpool wink and nod that gets Anfield excited, Klopp offers this
Liverpool's offer is very similar to what he had at Manchester United, with the big difference being that at Anfield the atmosphere he would experience with his manager and teammates would be very different, a factor that he can perhaps take advantage of to heal his wounds and resolve all his problems in order to re-emerge again in 2023, which looks a bit complicated for the Reds, as they are looking for the European places in the Premier League and eliminating Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League without their priority.
A better working environment and more opportunities to compete for major trophies is what Liverpool can offer the Portugal legend at the moment, using his attacking skills most likely as an early boost, similar to what Fernando Santos did in the Round of 16 clash with Switzerland, a situation Ronaldo is not happy with but with his current level it is what he is good enough for on the pitch.
Paying 30 million euros for Cristiano Ronaldo would not be a big problem to have him for at least one season at Anfield, although possibly the expenses generated by the purchase of Jude Bellingham make the Portuguese attacker not the primary of their needs, opting for Liverpool to allocate all their resources to try to sign the English midfielder and then analyse whether CR7 is still a viable option in an attack that has responded well with Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez.
