In recent weeks, when Mohamed Salah has been mentioned in the international press, the talk has not been about the great level he continues to show at the age of 31 and the fact that he is the best player in the Premier League's top team, but about the huge interest and the stratospheric sums that Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League are offering to sign him this summer.

Practically every day there are new rumors about whether Salah wants to leave, or if he would earn more money than Cristiano Ronaldo, however Mo's own agent has said that the Pharaoh is 100% focused and committed to our Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp's project, who has also assured that the Egyptian only wants to play for the Reds.

The last offer that was supposedly launched by Al-Ittihad was £200 million, which was immediately rejected by Liverpool's board, who for weeks had it clear: the only way for Mohamed Salah to leave the team this summer was for the player himself to force his way out of Anfield, which journalists like Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein reported that the Egyptian would never do, as he has too much love and respect for the club and the fans.

That is why, during the press conference after the match against Aston Villa that ended in victory for the Reds, Jürgen Klopp answered with a resounding "yes" when asked if Mohamed Salah was still considered "untouchable", thus extinguishing once and for all any doubt of those who thought that Salah would leave this summer.

Al-Ittihad to return in 2024

It seems that, at least for now, Al-Ittihad have understood that no matter how much money they put on the table to sign Mohamed Salah . However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi Pro League will come back to the table to sign the Pharaoh in 2024, when he has just one year left on his contract at Anfield, but until then back off!
