Jürgen Klopp could face more obstacles to signing new players

This summer Jürgen Klopp would have the firm intention of rebuilding the team, after a season in which our Liverpool failed to finish in the top four of the Premier League, with which the team was left out of the next edition of the Champions League.

For several weeks now, Liverpool has been linked with different players that could arrive at Anfield to reinforce the team, as since the summer market began it has been said that Jürgen Klopp is targeting midfielders, and now with the possible departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to the Saudi Pro League, that need has increased even more.

A number of names have been floated to Liverpool, but so far the board has only managed to secure two signings. Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are the two players who are now part of the team, and have already made their debuts in the team's first preseason match. Although both are expected to play a leading role in the team, it seems that Klopp still wants more players and now Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure would be one of the main candidates to arrive at Anfield.

Doucoure had a great season with Crystal Palace, and was a key player for his team to stay in the Premier League. He is a defensive midfielder who also shone when he faced the Reds last season, but as with Klopp's other targets, there would be a major obstacle to his signing.

The problem

With Liverpool's interest in Cheick Doucoure, the Crystal Palace board reportedly valued him at £70 million according to journalist Sami Mokbel, an amount far short of what Liverpool would be willing to offer for him. The same situation occurs with Romeo Lavia and Southampton, as they ask for a figure too high.
