Fabinho says there is no more important Premier League game than a clash between Liverpool and Manchester United and is confident his side are ready for another win at Old Trafford. The Reds travel on Monday night to face the derby having drawn their first two games of the top-flight campaign.

"It's not good for a club like Manchester United to lose their first two Premier League games and I think, with the way they lost, they will want to show a reaction in front of their fans. But we also want to win this game, so there will be two teams that want and need to win, so I'm sure it will be a very good game," Fabinho said.

In the last two visits to Manchester, Liverpool pulled out convincing 4-2 and 5-0 victories respectively, and Fabinho is eager to be part of the first team in Liverpool's history to make it three wins in a row there.

Fabinho's words

"We know this is the most important game in the Premier League and it's always good to play these games because the fans always want to win, so it's also good for morale," said the Brazilian midfielder, who could make his 100th Premier League start on Monday.

"We need to win. We will go to Old Trafford with the mentality to win the game, so we have a few days to work before this game and we will work and hopefully we will be in the best shape to play against Man United," he added.

"It's a good opportunity to win three games in a row at Old Trafford. The last game was very good for us with the 5-0 win, for Mo [Salah] especially, so hopefully this last game will bring good memories for the team [to help us] to play another good game at Old Trafford and win."
