With our 2022 Qatar finalists in place, the World Cup goes into hiatus, and with it all the news around the transfer market begins to take on greater relevance, all the while at Anfield the fans are anxious to know the next additions that Klopp will make next January. From England, Roberto Firmino's future seems to be more than set.

The 31-year-old striker Roberto Firmino is living a tense moment at Liverpool, as he is close to the end of his relationship. His contract will expire next year, and unfortunately for him, negotiations for a possible renewal remain static. Bobby was devastated not to make coach Tite's final list to represent Brazil at this 22nd World Cup.

Firmino missed out on what would have been his second World Cup, as at Russia 2018 the former TSG 1899 Hoffenheim man made four appearances for the Canarinha. Now Firmino watched his national team from home, watching the group stage and at the same time preparing to report back to work with The Pool on Klopp's tour of Dubai, playing against Lyon and AC Milan.

Throughout different forums Red's fans are not satisfied with Firmino, as they believe that since last season the Carioca has been on the decline, despite the fact that in this semester he has scored nine goals between Champions League and Premier League. Firmino knows he still has a couple of seasons left in him at the top level, so a move away from Anfield would not be a bad thing for his successful career.

Firmino is negotiating his renewal

Firmino recently played at the Emirates where he played 61 minutes in the 1-3 defeat to Olympique Lyon where the fans did not take kindly to Bobby's performance, as he looked slow at times and lacked punch in front of goal. Now with the game against AC Milan coming up, we will see if Klopp decides to give the South American another chance or try someone else in that position where it is a fact that needs to be reinforced.
