After the 2022-2023 season, Jürgen Klopp decided to renew almost completely the team's squad and that is why one of the big priorities for the transfer market is to sign young players who can contribute immensely to the team, but for that it is necessary to give exit to players who in the past have been important, and one of those who could leave this summer is Thiago Alcantara.
The 32-year-old Spanish midfielder has had a great spell at Anfield, where he has won a number of trophies and has been one of the most talented players in Klopp's team. However, during the last season he has seen his playing time drastically reduced, as he only participated in 18 Premier League games in which he could not contribute with any goal or assist.
In addition to this, Klopp has already started to bring in new players that could jeopardize Thiago's continuity in the team. The first reinforcement of the Reds was the Argentine Alexis Mac Allister, who arrived from Brighton to head the new project of the Anfield management. In addition, Klopp is eyeing the French duo of Manu Koné and Képhren Thuram, who could join the team.
Thiago could be living his last moments as a Liverpool player. For now, there are no offers from any other team for him, and with a year left on his contract it would not be strange to see him remain at Anfield for the entire 2023-2024 season but without having too much involvement.
In his continuous search to sign new midfielders, Jürgen Klopp has on his radar the 24-year-old Nigerian player Eberechi Eze, who currently plays for Crystal Palace and is worth approximately 30 million euros, according to the Transfermarkt portal.
