With the failed signings of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, our Liverpool have been left in a very uncomfortable position regarding the transfer market, as not only did they suffer two low blows in a matter of days, but now everyone knows that the Anfield board has enough money to pay for signings so they might have to overpay to get reinforcements.
It is no secret to anyone, especially after what we saw in the Chelsea game, that Liverpool is desperate to find at least one new defensive midfielder because the team looks very weak in that area of the pitch, especially after the departures of Jordan Henderson and especially Fabinho, for which it is clear that we were not prepared.
With our two main targets now completely ruled out, Jürgen Klopp will have to think of alternatives that can fulfill what the German tactician has in mind for the new season and in that sense it seems that there are at least four players that could realistically arrive at Anfield in the coming days to reinforce the team.
The first would be a player who has been much talked about over the last couple of weeks, Fluminense's Brazilian Andre whose biggest obstacle to leaving his current team is that they have a chance of winning the Copa Libertadores. There is also Cheick Doucoure, a highly respected player in the Premier League for whom Liverpool would have to pay around 40 to 45 million euros. It was also reported that Liverpool is closely monitoring Ibrahim Sangaré, from PSV, and Florentino Luis, from Benfica.
