After a great World Cup with the Netherlands, Cody Gakpo became the wish of Jürgen Klopp, who was able to sign him at the beginning of the winter transfer window for 42 kilos plus a further 14 kilos in variable fees. Gakpo left the Eredivisie with PSV and made his debut in the FA Cup 1/32 Final against Wolverhampton.

The 23-year-old striker's adaptation caused Klopp headaches as it took six games for him to make his goalscoring debut and in the Merseyside Derby against Everton, Gakpo scored his first of four goals of the season so far. Interestingly, all four in the Premier League.

For the Oranje gem, Virgil van Dijk was the liaison to persuade him to join The Pool, according to The Athletic, the captain influenced the striker to move. And it is also the same media that claims that Cody has left Liverpool's Titanic Hotel to move to his new mansion in the suburbs of Merseyside.

For this new adventure, the Red's footballer has decided to live with his girlfriend Noa, who has been his partner since his time at the PSV Academy. According to his girlfriend, Cody promised her that after the World Cup, his life would change. Liverpool won the bidding for him, after beating Real Madrid and Chelsea in the race; Cody signed until the summer of 2028.
