England are making steady progress towards Euro 2024. Gareth Southgate's side were on target in their visit to Malta and thrashed the Mediterranean side. It's a full points haul for the Three Lions after wins over Italy and Ukraine in March. In this match, Kane and Alexander-Arnold led England. With the Manchester City players in the squad but newly arrived and 'booked' for the match against North Macedonia, there were other names who featured in the eleven.

Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace) took a place in the centre of defence alongside Maguire... and Alexander-Arnold played as the '10' in midfield. Maddison also started. And the changes worked for England: Apap put through his own goal to make it 0-1 after a good run down the right by Saka, Alexander-Arnold made it 0-2 with a superb strike from outside the box and Kane killed the game off before the break with a penalty goal of his own making.

The second half had little to offer except to see some of England's less familiar faces. Mings and Callum Wilson were given minutes and Eberechi Eze made his debut as a reward for a great season at Crystal Palace. The goal was capped off by Wilson with another goal from a penalty after a handball.

Social media

This great performance of Alexander Arnold train did not go unnoticed in Europe and even motivated some star footballer, because in social networks it was possible to testify that the French Khephren Thuram gave a like to a publication about the Liverpool player, which may suggest that he is aware of the activity of the player who could be his new teammate.
