With the completion of the remaining Premier League fixtures, the 22/23 season draws to a close. The ninth title in City's history closes a tournament of surprises, such as the spectacular comeback of the Red's at mid-season, where the 10th place finish was unimaginable and a ticket to Europe was unimaginable.

Faced with this situation spoke one of the legends of The Pool, who did not hold anything back and already proposed a new leader such as Curtis Jones, who looks to be one of the references in the coming years. At 22 years old, Jones is one of the jewels of the Red's Academy who have worked with him since 2017.

Speaking to Liverpool Echo, the great captain Gerrard backed Klopp on the coming generational change with Jones. "I remember having a conversation with Jürgen and we were talking about Curtis and he was like 'yeah, there's a few little things that we need to improve in a few areas' and all that," Steven pointed out.

Henderson trembles

With the arrival of Manuel Ugarte and Alexis Mac Allister, the Red's will look to dip into what they have in-house and continue to strengthen key positions for next season. The captain's armband is something Klopp will have to give serious thought to, as Henderson has lost steam and charisma with the fans in recent weeks.
