We come to the last game of the season, it was a 38 match days of struggle and effort. The 22/23 season is behind us and at Anfield there will be a cleansing with the departure of several stars who have completed a cycle on Merseyside. One of the stars who has had the spotlight on him in recent days is Jordan Henderson.

The Red's leader has been distant with the fans after his statements and actions on the pitch, which could cost him not only the captain's armband but even his starting place. The 32-year-old Henderson knows he is one of the candidates to make way for the new signings coming in the summer.

Despite being a veteran to many, Henderson is still on the radar of manager Gareth Southgate, who is preparing his squad for the Three Lions' Euro qualifier. Jordan, after a decent World Cup, is part of Southgate's trusted England squad.

Henderson needs peace

Against Souhthampton, the '14' could start and be substituted, just as he did against Leicester City and Aston Villa, where he curiously logged 73 minutes in each game. Klopp could do the same this Sunday and swap Jordan for James Milner, who says goodbye to The Pool after an eight-year stay.
