Last season has been a very negative one for Jürgen Klopp's side, who will not be in the next edition of the UEFA Champions League. This situation has clearly increased the doubts surrounding Mohamed Salah, something that will only increase in the coming weeks with the opening of the transfer window.

The latest person to speak out on the Egyptian's future has been England legend Robbie Fowler, who believes the Reds will have to fight a real battle to keep hold of their top star. "I've thought for a few months that he could be a target this summer, and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if both Madrid and PSG are after him, with the French club nailed on," said the former England striker.

Carlo Ancelotti rates Mo Salah highly, something that could be decisive in the club's bid for the Egyptian, who has always dreamed of making it big at the Bernabeu. Real Madrid currently have Brahim Diaz, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes as their only attackers, so Florentino Perez will have to reinforce this position extensively.

Salah's future

The Salah deal would by no means be simple, although it would be practically Liverpool's only chance to cash in on a player who is not comfortable at Anfield, as at 30 years of age he does not want to stop playing in the UEFA Champions League.
