Ilkay Gundogan could have his footballing future at Liverpool, and despite the interference of Manchester City and Arsenal, the player wants to close a cycle with Pep Guardiola's group to try his luck in another institution in the Premier League, being the Reds the ideal team for the German to continue his work as a midfielder.

Given the need for experienced and solvent men in midfield, coach Jürgen Klopp could see in Gundogan the ideal reinforcement that fulfils the tasks of a leader in the area, gaining with the German the expertise while with Mac Allister he will bring that new generation of youth that every day offers better and more complete playing techniques.

The departure of several midfield players in the Red team has caused Klopp and his people to look for new players in the English environment itself, having for Gundogan an offer that could possibly be around 9 million euros per season, surpassing the earnings obtained at City which were one million less.

Gündogan could be a serious reinforcement option for Liverpool ahead of next season where they will be fighting to regain those top Premier League places as well as winning the Europa League. At 32 years of age, the German midfielder is a versatile player in the middle of the pitch, providing City since the 2016-2017 campaign with great security in a complicated area that he has been able to make his own over the months, to the extent of being a decisive player who scores goals, extending as a reference the FA Cup final where they beat Manchester United with a couple of goals from him.
