Handball inside the box and Arsenal's offside goal, another robbery against Liverpool

Controversy came very quickly to the game

Controversy came very quickly to the game

It took just four minutes for the first refereeing controversy to arise in Saturday's Liverpool-Arsenal match at Anfield as Brazilian defender Gabriel scored the 1-0 for the Londoners in an offside position but despite a VAR review, referee Chris Kavanagh decided to award the goal to the visitors.

Once again the refereeing has affected the Reds this season and the most recent memory is what happened in the match against Tottenham where even the FA had to offer apologies to the Merseyside club due to the wrong decisions that have been repeated tonight at Anfield because Gabriel's goal should not have counted.

In social networks have spread several images in which it is proven that the Arsenal defender is in the wrong position and although the images are clear the video referee ignored it and decided to validate the 1-0 for the team led by the Spanish Mikel Arteta in a match in which is disputed in the Premier League.

Liverpool's annoyance

Minutes later there was a clear handball by Odegaard inside the box, but no penalty was awarded either. We will have to keep a close eye on what German coach Jürgen Klopp says at the post-match press conference, as whenever Liverpool are affected by the refereeing, he always makes important statements that have cost him a sanction from the FA at some point. The same situation applies to captain Virgil van Dijk, who was also suspended a few games ago against Newcastle for complaining to the referee.
