In the recent era of our Liverpool there have been great players who have thrilled all the Anfield fans with their great talent, however the great promises do not always end up becoming reality and that was the case with Daniel Sturridge who in the best period of his career with our club came to be considered a great figure of the team and many believed that he had what it took to be a legend of the Reds.

Daniel Sturridge's level with our Liverpool was very high during what ended up being the best period of his career, however a series of bad decisions ended what promised to be a successful career. After even attending the Brazil 2014 World Cup with the England national team, Daniel Sturridge was never again the player he once showed he could be and ended up leaving Anfield through the back door.

Just a year after leaving Liverpool for good, Daniel Sturridge was involved in an illegal gambling scandal that led him to be suspended from any football-related activity for 18 months, which was perhaps the decisive factor for Sturridge's career to take a nosedive and never return to the level that took him to the big stages of world football. Although he is not officially retired now, it is fair to say that his career is over as he has been without a team for over a year and now has a new job.

Daniel Sturrdige's new job

Daniel Sturridge will start a new stage in his life as a commentator for the British channel Sky Sports, and he will be analyzing the match between Liverpool and Chelsea in the Premier League, as he played for both teams, although his best stage was undoubtedly at Anfield.
