The list of potential signings for the Red's is starting to get bigger, with the huge possibility of Alexis Mac Allister and Manuel Ugarte being at Anfield next season, Klopp continues to ask FSG for a striker who can fill the gap left by Sadio Mané's move to the Bundesliga.

With a player with so much experience at one of Europe's top clubs being released, it is clear that more than one institution will be looking to sign him in the transfer market, and while the Reds are currently focused on signing players mainly in midfield, Klopp and his people would welcome the arrival of a striker to fill the void left by Roberto Firmino.

The 27-year-old Spanish striker could be set for his first adventure away from Spain with the Reds, with Asensio having made his entire legacy in his homeland playing for Mallorca B, Espanyol and Real Madrid until this year. Asensio's advantage is his extensive knowledge of European competitions, having played for Los Merengues on more than one occasion, and Jürgen Klopp, who is looking for experience mixed with youth, has found in the Mallorca native that combination of attributes.

From Real Madrid to Liverpool

And it is that little has been said in the Premier, the performance of Darwin Núñez, Cody Gakpo and Luis Díaz, who recently returned from knee injury after five months of absence. It is then that after the low goal tally, Klopp is seriously thinking about bringing in another striker to compete, Marco Asensio being one of the candidates.
