One of the great legends of our Liverpool is undoubtedly the great Jamie Carragher. A defender like few others and with a clear knowledge of the club's philosophy, as he spent his entire career at Anfield. More than 700 games in the Reds uniform and winner of 11 titles, including the Champions League in 2005 in the so-called "Miracle of Istanbul".
Carragher is the definition of what it means to be a legend of our club, and during his best years as a player he established himself as one of the best defenders in the world. Alongside Steven Gerrard he formed a winning dynasty at Anfield and has undoubtedly earned an eternal place in the fans' memories.
Jamie is currently a football analyst for Sky Sports UK, where he has a starring role alongside Thierry Henry and Micah Richards, and has become a highly respected figure in the field of sports broadcasting in England. Although he retains his love for Liverpool, he has no qualms about being highly critical of the team when necessary and often has an opinion on all things Liverpool.
Carragher, who retired in 2013, became an analyst several years ago and is currently one of the highest rated TV personalities on Sky Sports, so it is not surprising to hear that he has a large salary in his new professional stage.
According to The Sun, Carragher receives a salary of £1 million per year, which is nowhere near what he received during his prime at Liverpool, as in those years he was paid up to £5 million per season.
