The transfer market is having an extremely busy day and England is no exception. In addition to the cases of Messi and Benzema, Liverpool have got down to work and have everything ready to sign Argentine Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, who are losing one of their key players for next season.

Fabrizio Romano announced that the midfielder, a World Cup winner with Argentina at Qatar 2022, has reached a contract agreement with the Reds to play at Anfield next season. On the other hand, the journalist pointed out that Jürgen Klopp's team will pay the termination clause of the still Brighton player in order to complete the deal, although everything is fine-tuned for the Argentine to become a new Liverpool player in the coming days.

"Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool. Full agreement. The contract will be valid until June 2028. Agreement with duration of five years. Liverpool will pay the termination clause in the next few days, which is less than 60 million pounds. Medical tests (will be) within 24 to 48 hours. It's a done deal.  For now it only remains to wait for the English club to deposit the money to Brighton to be able to carry out the physical tests and complete the signing process.

His first problem

Mac Allister is set to become Liverpool's first choice in midfield and this has led to Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara deciding not to renew his contract, making next season his last at Anfield. He will leave as a player who showed all his quality in the Premier League, albeit badly affected by injuries.
