Bayern Munich have a hot potato with Sadio Mané. Last summer's big money signing has struggled to adapt to life at the Bavarian outfit and also had an unfortunate episode when he punched Leroy Sané in the face after a heated argument in the team's defeat to City in Manchester.
Mané was internally disciplined for what happened and his future in the team is by no means assured. In fact, despite his intentions to stay at Bayern, potential destinations for the African striker are already being discussed. Inter will lose Romelu Lukaku this summer and know that Edin Dzeko, at 37, is not forever. The option of Mané, at an affordable price, could fit the bill as a complement to Lautaro Martínez.
The option that would bring him the most money. Playing against Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi, if he decides to come to Saudi football, would also be a motivation. Chelsea need goals and Mané, who has plenty of experience in the Premier League after his time at Liverpool, could become one of the 'blues' leaders. Finally, the option of Liverpool is also latent and makes the fans sigh.
Former Liverpool right-back and national team international Glen Johnson said it would not be a good idea for Mané to return: Klopp should not look at Mané again. He is a fantastic player, but he would be coming back to a completely different team to the one that he left. He was great for Liverpool at the time, but it does not mean that he would be great for them now. I don’t think they should go for him.”
