It is no secret that the 2022-2023 season was a disappointing one for Liverpool, as we went from being one of the best teams in Europe to not qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League. That is why, in the next transfer market, several players could leave the team, but not before leaving good amounts of money in the club's pockets.
As soon as the last game of the season was over, the departures of great players who in recent years have given us great joy, and who were a fundamental part of the team's success during the last golden era of the Reds, such as Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, were announced.
However, Jürgen Klopp expects even more departures, as the club is in the midst of a rebuilding process and the coaching staff's priority is to sign young players who can have an immediate impact on the team, but can also be part of the long-term project.
One of the most defined positions where no reinforcements are being sought is goalkeeper, as Alisson Becker is one of the best in the world and the board has just renewed the contract with Spaniard Adrian to be his understudy. That is why the young goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, 24 years old, could leave the team this summer leaving around 8 million euros after his transfer.
According to various reports, Nottingham Forest is "desperate" to sign a goalkeeper and it appears that Kelleher is their number one choice. The Irish goalkeeper is valued at 8 million euros according to Transfermarkt, an amount that Nottingham would be willing to pay.
